Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, also known as Physiological saline, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, aqueous mixture of sodium chloride. It is indicated for injection to restore fluid and electrolyte balance in patients. This balanced solution has a pH of approximately 6.5 to 7.5, and its osmolarity is approximately 290 milliosmoles per liter (mOsm/L).

Sodium Chloride Injection, USP 0.9%, can be administered IV into a vein, or under the skin. It is commonly used in hospitals for managing dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and various health concerns.
